Surgical Dental Biopsy

Each time you undergo a dental exam in our office, Dr. Weiss or Dr. Burstein do a screening to check for any abnormalities in your mouth involving your tongue, gums, mouth tissue, etc. If they find an abnormality, they take a surgical dental biopsy to diagnose the lesion. A piece of the lesion will be sent to the lab where the diagnosis of the tissue will be determined. Results return typically within one week, and our office will call you to discuss the results.
