dental implant

Dental implants are replacement tooth roots. Implants provide a permanent, strong foundation for fixed (permanent) or removable replacement teeth that are made to match your natural teeth.

Patients need to have healthy gums and enough bone to support an implant. In order to be considered for an implant, patients need a dental/radiographic examination and health history review.

After ensuring the quality of your oral health and adequate bone support, we will develop an individualized treatment plan, and the implant process can begin.

There are two types of dental implants:

Standard Dental Implants

Standard Implants involve a surgical procedure. The first step is the insertion of a screw like titanium piece into the bone. There is usually a 3 month recovery time before further dental work proceeds.

Mini Dental Implants

Mini Implants are smaller and generally a non-surgical alternative to standard implants. These are often used to support full or partial dentures. In many cases, your dentures can be immediately adapted and connected to the mini implant in the same visit.

There are many advantages to implants over more conventional treatments. Implants look and feel natural, and make eating and talking easier. And with proper care, they can last a lifetime!
